Here comes my greeting for 2003
Another attempt by the poet in me
The year was a full one from start to end
The events that took place are what I send
A trip to Austria in January for me
Salzburg and Innsbruck and still time to ski
It was a year for family together as one
Greta saw to that by things she had begun
First a bridal shower then her marriage to Charles
The planning and wedding were without any snarls
From ceremony through reception, and I’m not lyin’
The day was better than the one for Trista and Ryan
Laura wrote a poem to share with the guests
She read it to all in her maid of honor dress
An ice storm in April was not too much fun
Wires down, power out as well as lack of sun
Family got together throughout the summer
Nadine had her appendix out, what a bummer
A weekend with Gerry at Greta's by the pool
An outdoor dinner in Greenwich was oh so cool
A blackout hit the East Coast for a night
It happened in the summer so it was all right
And then the most exciting event of them all
Myles entered this earth so perfect and small
The holiday season was almost here
When Laura's car got hit by a deer
Each day brings new adventures, surprises and joys
I’m so proud of my children and our two new "boys"
Enjoy your family and friends this holiday season
Spend time together for whatever the reason
