| January we took our last cruise for a while |
From Our House to Yours
But the year 2020 isn’t the same
And it’s Covid-19 that is to blame
I can’t tell you of all the trips that we’ve taken
Only the ones that we have forsaken
Winter in Florida we walked by the sea
Then back indoors for Cuomo TV
Once home it was walking, and walking some more
I listen to books to make it less of a chore
Golf with the girls, lunches under a tree
A nice way to spend Mondays we all would agree
With pickleball we kept our social distance
And Happy Hours helped improve our existence
The family gets together all the time on Zoom
We celebrate birthdays and holidays, no gloom
This whole quarantining hasn’t been that bad
But no family visits and hugs makes me sad
A vaccine is in store for us now we are told
Especially for those of us who are already old
Let's hope this pandemic soon comes to an end
And then I'll have more fun greetings to send
I will close with the same wish I send every year
To my friends and family that I hold so dear
Be happy, healthy and kind all year through
And in 12 months I’ll have another rhyme for you
