2019
It’s that time of year once again
To wish good cheer to our family and friends
This started when I ran out of time to send cards
Now finding time to write this is becoming hard
But it gives me the chance to review the year
And if you want to stop reading you can do it here
I’ll just wish you the best for this Holiday time
And a Healthy, Happy New Year as I continue to rhyme
******
A hockey tournament in Toronto started the year
Hunter & Tucker skated and the drive there was clear
Then a trip to the Caribbean on a ship
We drove to New Jersey to leave for that trip
The winter was cold but never time to nap
Larry walked 3 miles a day while I took piano, ballet and tap
A weekend in Boston was really nifty
to celebrate with Laura when she turned fifty
In April we took a ship across the ocean
It seems like we are always in motion
Once across we sailed around the British Isles
And a stop in Normandy added more miles
A lacrosse tournament in Pittsford was great for me
It was Myles, Hunter and Greta that I got to see
The summer was filled with family fun
Visiting sisters and brothers and daughters and sons
Hilton Head during hurricane season turned out bad
We had to cut our trip short and that was sad
But then we went to Amsterdam which was a treat
Followed by a river cruise to Budapest which was so neat
Then back in Toronto for hockey again
My little grandsons are turning into men
So if you made it this far I would like to say
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah or just celebrate your way
Be happy, healthy and kind all year through
And in 12 months I’ll have another rhyme for you
